Yep. Still Bear Crawling.

Much to the delight of the home school crowd at the community center today, Sister Susie livened up that whole room with her silly tricks, speed crawling from one end to the other.

And I still got asked about my cute little baby "boy". Guess I'm going to have to pull out the pink or find a holy honkin' hairbow to tape to her head.

No One Teaches Him These Things

One of the first things Ziggy did in our new house was test out the carpeted stairs. They're a load of fun to slide down, he'd like you to know. He has the squashy buns to pull this trick off. Campers isn't so quick to play the Human Slinky Game, cuz let's just say, he didn't get Ma's gene pool in the Rear Behind Area.

School In The Stairway

One of the best things about schooling at home is that Campers gets to pick his "desk", and it can move all over the house as needed. Today he wanted to learn about golden calves and shriveled hands, all from the comfort of the stairs. And about 18 million blankets.

(And if you are wondering what story we are talking about, check out 1 Kings 13.)

There's A Party And She'll Cry If She Wants To

Someone doesn't like to miss out on the fun when everyone else is upstairs and SHE is downstairs. Caged out.

Course, it probably doesn't help when I grab the camera to record the moment.

Salt in the wound, salt in the wound.

But it's funny, in a pathetic sort of way.

Party Girl.

See, I Got Her Out Of The Stroller. Okay, Once!

Sister Susie giggles with glee whenever she is swinging. She has always loved movement, so roller coasters here she comes.

And there Ziggy is on the left, telling me to push him higher and faster and more more more. And Campers was off to my right, in a big kid swing saying, "Don't push me too high, Mom, I don't want to fall out."

Predictable...

Enjoying The Evergreens

Still amazed at what large fir trees grow in this region. Here Ziggy is, holding one of them up.

Because It's FUN To Watch Kids Fall

Well here's something the likes of such I've never seen.

Campers is walking across the plank, all the while Ziggy is spinning the top bar in circles. All I can figure is that the Spinner is trying to get the Walker to fall off the bar. Sounds like Fun Playground Equipment to me!

But the boys tended to hover in the "Spinner" position versus the "Walker" spot. Mmm-hmmm. They could dish it out but they couldn't take it.

But I will say, there was something rather enjoyably sadistic about watching the whole gig play out.

And that's the kind of love I have to share with you this glorious day.

It's So Spectacular Having Two Boys

And here they are playing together, racing down the slide and all over the playground and generally having a good time.

These last two days have been especially nice, and I just keep telling myself that Sunny and Seventies is the Norm. It's cheap therapy, really, this self-talk.

So anyhoo, we have taken advantage of the sun and done some play time and walk time through a park in our neighborhood. And the boys play so well together and it's such a great thing that they have each other (and Sister too). Because they will be therapy for each other when we're done being Ma and Pa to them. [grin]

For These Windows I Am Thankful

Here's another fine feature of our house: Low windows. Never mind the drool and paw marks that make it seem like we have a slobbery dog. But there is no end to the entertainment that a nice big window can provide.

I remember the days when Campers used to drag chairs all through the house just to look out the window. Course, he usually fell off Said Chairs and eventually started jumping off Said Chairs like a super-crazy flying person.

So you can see why I like these low windows. If they just came with a side of Windex Wipes we'd all be happy.

Good Gravy, Look At Those Teeth!

Since Sister Susie hasn't mastered the fine art of walking, most people assume she is still just a baby. That is, until she opens that mouth of hers. Then I am sure to hear "My, What Big Teeth She Has!"

At least she hasn't mastered the fine art of biting either (cough, cough). But because I have survived having not just one, but TWO biting children, surely I could survive another.

And maybe this time around I should invest in Bits.
