Kitchen Counter Science

Got some microorganisms hanging out on my very own kitchen counter:



And I'm not talking about just the yeast in the bowl.



It's the bare feet on the counter. (Ohhhhh. Ssshhhhiver...)

But they were so happy with kneading the dough that I didn't dare ask that they get down.



Boys were learning about yeast in school. They asked how yeast made bread rise. I said something intelligent like, "Well. It's all about the little yeasties burping and passing gas and reproducing and doing other such things that innocent young boys do not need to be thinking about."

I love being the teacher. Every day I get to share my vast store of knowledge with the minds of tomorrow.
