Happy Thanksgiving, From Our House To Yours!

Here we are, in all our pre-meal, hurry-up-and-take-the-picture glory.

I am shocked, mostly because there are four smiles, and only one head turned the wrong direction. Aahh-hemmm, Miss Susie, the camera is the other direction.

And there is no Batman shirt.

And for that, I am thankful.

Oh, And There Was This Box That Came In The Mail

Oh, whatever can it be?

A backpack purse!

From a dear pal in Ohio who happened to own a matching one to My Beloved Purse Which Has Now Been Lain To Rest, and was KIND ENOUGH to ship hers off to me!! I mean, The Love!!!

She will remain nameless, as I would not want to humiliate her in such a public, nonsensical setting.

But she is glorious, and did I mention, kind?

Caaaaann yoooooooouuuuuuuu feeeeeeeeelll the loooooooooovee tooo-niiiiiiiiiiiiight.....

It was like getting an old friend in the mail, times two.

Happy Purse Day!!

Who Needs A Walker Toy When You've Got Ma?

Our little walker toy bit the dust right before we moved. No matter, Sister Susie just likes to walk the old-fashioned way, holding on to Ma's pants for dear life.

And then she'll take a step with the Ma...

And let go...

And be so proud! Of herself! Because she can stand! And clap! And she's so good!

And if she doesn't become a cheerleader, I'll eat my jeans.

There's A Reason We Love Science

And those two words might be, "sugar cubes." More specifically, "in the mouth."

Here's the Campers, pouring his liquid and waiting for it to be absorbed by the sugar cubes:

And then the Zig, watching ever so patiently for the tower to topple.

You might be made aware of a certain shirt.

Both boys asked if they could drink the sugar water after the cubes had completely dissolved.

I have not snarled that loud in a long time.

Yes, We Like That Park, It Is Nice

Here's Campers, doing a daring climbing feat.

Notice he has learned how to stop and pose for the camera.

Unlike his brother, who instead knows how to shout, "MOOOOMMMMM!!! DON'T TAKE A PICTURE OF MEEEE!!!"

Either that, or he is just doing a great "Heil Hitler" pose.

But I caught him unaware, peeking out through his hood:

And here's the Campers, jumping up at the 10 foot pole. Why it's there, we don't know.

Crazy Crayola Coloring Girl

She loves her some waxy crayons:

But mostly what she likes is sitting up to the table like a Big Girl, scribbling (eating) away:

It Makes Me Wanna Jump!

First the Campers:

Surely you don't notice the unpacked boxes, surely:

Or the "high water" jeans with the hole in the knee, surely not:

And kudos to the Pa for the extra cool shots!

Kick Your Heels Up And Jump!

Zig in action:

And Then This...

Why this is so incredibly entertaining to the Pa and me, we'll never know.

This is the natural outcome of jumping off of tables, time and time again.

And as an aside, notice that Zig's pants are on backwards, because He Wanted Them That Way, because "The tag goes in the front, Mom."

He does that just to drive me crazy.

Anyone notice the Batman shirt? Yes??

Blue Line

Kids were Super Pumped to finally ride the Blue Line Train all the way to the end. Oh sure, that doesn't mean much to you, but to the Campers and the Zig, This.Was.It. They could finally see what happened at the End Of The Line.

And because I've now put you on the edge of your seats, I'll fill you in on what happens.

At the end, the train stops, and waits a bit while the driver steps out of one end and walks to the opposite end to drive the MAX back west. Yep, that's it. But to the boy who studies the public transit map, knowing many of the routes by name--it made his day.

Cheap thrills, folks, cheap thrills.
